*Update 9/16/18: In 2012, I blogged about pain. You see, I had started to experience panic attacks before my pregnancy with Noelle began. In the years since, I have discovered these panic attacks to be related to other medical issues that have, gratefully, been resolved. But, unbeknownst to me, God was using those panic attacks to prepare me. Later I would blog about death; that post was related to the panic attacks, but also to the pregnancy. As a mother, I was contemplating my natural human weakness and what that could mean for her, especially early on. Though our pregnancy was exceedingly smooth, still, I understood pregnancy to be fragile.
